Pi obsession

I simply do not understand this dramatic obsession with Yamashita Tomohisa. He isn’t exactly what you’d call the handsomest guy in town (or more specifically, Japan.) But there’s just something about him which makes me want to go Kyaa! Kyaa! And just produce fangirl squeals for the rest of my pathetic little life. 

I love Yamapi! (Don’t we all?)

I first met him when I watched my very first Japanese drama way back 2005, the days when Youtube wasn’t much of a stickler for rules. (Translation: animes and dramas still exist and CR wasn’t around) Nobuta wo Produce dominated the most viewed, most loved, most everything. I was pretending to type my assignment one day while actually watching the latest episode of Naruto when I chanced upon NwP. I would have ignored it if it weren’t for the fact that it pretty much dominated the "MOST" section. 

And so, I decided that it was time to watch the first episode, quite boring really, it was my first Jdrama and I won’t even lie, Shuji’s well maintained EYEBROWS.. scared the shit out  of me…I was like, "What the hell?!"  Man, those eyebrows either have to be faked or penciled! But anyway, let us not stray from the issue, I was intrigued with why  guy like Shuji has to lie his way through high school, halfway through the first episode, I decided Kamenashi Kazuya was someone I could like, but that was before I met AKIRA! 

Ahh…Yes….

Kusano Akira was THE MAN! 

Okay, so actually, I hated him at first, I mean come on, he has to be drunk! What’s up with the tone and the voice? I was annoyed beyond words! I hated him! I hated him so much that it took me so long to realize that I actually love him to pieces, dear old Akira, his konkon’s and nobuta power chu nyuu’s, his DJ Ozma impersonations…EVERYTHING!

I never felt as sad as the moment I finished watching that series. (Besides, the sondtrack is beyond amazing!)

After NwP, I saw him again in Stand up, Dragon Zakura, others, then finally, KUROSAGI. My, my, he was really hot there wasn’t he?

But seriously, why do I like Yamapi?

Is is his hair?  Hist style? His slightly drunk voice? His shyness? His face? His 98cm manboobs? His physique? What? I don’t understand where this obsession is coming from! He’s actually a very simple looking guy!

Okay, so let’s have a rundown shall we?

First of all. I will have to admit, he is cute. But he is nowhere near the word handsome.

Okay, so he can dance and shake those over molested hips. (Yes, I do believe he was molested, I don’t know why but I have this strong gut feeling.) But I LOVE HIM STILL!

He can sing, such a sexy sexy sexy VOICE! (not the best but he can sing!) And you know it’s him. There is no mistaking that voice.

I will agree that his body deserves a second look. But that’s not enough to obsess over a person right?

So maybe I like his shyness?

GAAAAHHH!!! I don’t understand it! I don’t! I don’t!

Can someone please explain it to me?!

At the rate i’m going now, I might fall even more for reasons I can’t explain!
